焼き物などの工芸は形を作るまでの技術の修練が必要とされ、技術の習熟と奔放な創作には相容れない物があるようにも見えます。作家個人の本来の技術は、感性が土の魅力を引き出す過程で生じる必然であり、創作そのものであるのです。作家として、いかに与えられた刺激を受け止める態勢に自身を置くかが大切であり、感動が土の表現としてあらわれる時、それに近づくための試行錯誤する過程こそが技術です。土の可能性を探り、土の表情を探す。ある啓示を得て物が作れるときは、千載一遇の機会であるのです。
私の創作の発想は、かつて出会ったある風景によって喚起され、その想いが現在も、おそらく将来にわたってつらぬかれています。それは森羅万象ミクロからマクロまで宇宙の成り立ちが、繰り返す形の集合体でありリズムであると言う想いです。常に私に対して発信されているであろう宇宙からの振動を聞き漏らさぬように耳を澄ませ、自身を緊張させ、土という魅力のある素材に託して創作していきたいと思っています。

Apparently, ceramics require long-term technical practices; and this requirement of artisanal training is seemingly conflicting against the artistic free-spirited creation.However, the true technique of an artist comes naturally in the course of his/her work to educe potential of ceramic paste, not is acquired with training; in this sense, the true technique is rather identical to the creation.An artist must be ready to receive the call emitted from paste. When an inspiration emerges as an expression of paste, an artist tries with full efforts to get closer to that image. These efforts are to be recognized as the true technique, and hence, the creation.Explore potential of paste; and seek for its expression.It is owing to such an exceptionally precious encounter that the creation is realized.
My idea is profoundly evoked by a scene I saw, and runs through nowadays and certainly to the future.The idea is that the universe is composed of the eternally repeating structures and rhythms.I am determined to be ready not to miss universe’s calls, and will pursue my creation with this marvelous material of ceramic paste.

L’art de la céramique exige la lente acquisition de pratiques et de techniques. Cette lenteur est en contradiction avec le jaillissement créatif de l’artiste.Mais, la vraie technique de l’artiste sort du travail de l’artist qui veut exprimer le potentiel de la pâte. Cette technique − qui n’est pas apprise lors de la formation − procède de la création.L’artiste doit être prêt â recevoir l’appel émis par la pâte. C’est dans cet appel qu’il puise son inspiration.Explorer, découvrir le potentiel de la pa^te, pour l’exprimer pleinement est la source de la cre´ation.
Mon idée me vient de ce que j’ai vu et qui m’habite. L’univers est composé de structures et rythmes répétés sans cesse.Je guette les appels de l’univers et poursuis ma création avec ce merveilleux matériau qu’il est la pâte céramique.
